Beginner Series - An Introduction to Yoga
“This series is the perfect opportunity for those who have felt intimidated by yoga or believe that yoga is not for them. It promises to be both fun and challenging, and students will leave knowing that yoga really IS for everyone!” says Lindsay, Beginner Series Instructor.
The Beginner Series offers those starting their yoga journey a well-rounded introductory class. Students will explore foundational yoga postures with careful, technical cuing to ensure poses are exercised correctly and safely, allowing you to build strength and flexibility.
Helpful use of yoga props will support the body and allow students to access postures that might prove difficult with balance, flexibility, etc. Props also assist in achieving proper alignment.
The Series is intended as a 4-week course, aimed at familiarizing students with yoga terminology, physical postures and gaining insight into mindfulness and breath. However, students are invited to attend on a rolling or drop-in basis as well. We hope that this series provides brand new yogis an opportunity to lay the groundwork for a lifelong yoga practice.
