introducing our staff: meet sarah
Tell us about yourself!
I've been doing yoga since 2018 and teaching since 2023. My day job is hard yet rewarding and what I consider a calling. I'm a licensed clinical social worker. I've worked with adults, older adults and seniors with serious mental illness, substance use, the aging process and life transitions. I couldn't do this work or live my life without yoga. It shows up every day off the mat. Otherwise, my husband and I have no more kids at home and love doing whatever we want!
What's your favorite style of yoga?
My favorite style of yoga is yinyasa. Longer holds, more breathing and finding the stillness. Slower isn't always easier.
How long should savasana be?
Never less than 5 minutes. I'll keep you in class an extra minute or 2 to make sure we get a full 5-7 minutes. If we can get a full 10 - 15 we're doing it!
Where can we find you on the OTY schedule?
You can find me Wednesday nights at 7pm. I'll pop into other spots here and there when I have the opportunity to help and sub for my beautiful yoga colleagues.
