Introducing our Staff: Meet Crystal
Tell us about yourself!
Hi, I’m Crystal — a proud mom to two toddlers (Mavery and Everett), wife to my amazing husband Matt, and a longtime lover of yoga. I first discovered yoga over 20 years ago while living in Chicago and working a high-stress corporate job, and it quickly became my anchor. I’ve now been teaching for 10 years, and yoga and meditation continue to be a huge part of my life — a grounding force that helps me stay present through the beautiful chaos of motherhood and a busy real estate career.
I hope to lead by example for my children — showing them the power of presence, self-care, and inner peace. As a family, we love traveling and creating meaningful memories through new experiences. It’s our favorite way to reconnect, decompress, and remind ourselves what really matters. Life is too short. Do yoga. Take the trip. Love deeply.
What's your favorite style of yoga?
It’s impossible to choose just one! I love the intensity and focus of hot yoga, but I’m equally drawn to the slow, intentional movements of yinyasa . I love the contrast between structure and fluidity — both offer something powerful depending on what the moment calls for.
How long should savasana be?
Savasana should be at least 5–10 minutes — or longer if you can. It’s a chance for your body and mind to fully absorb the practice, reset your nervous system, and return to stillness. In many ways, it’s the most important posture of all.
Where can we find you on the OTY schedule?
You can find me Tuesday nights and Sunday mornings — come move, breathe, and reconnect with your body and mind. See you on the mat!
