Pose of the Month: Vasisthasana 2

Veronica makes it look easy, right? Vasisthasana 2 is an arm balance on one hand and the outer edge of the same side foot. This pose takes shoulder, outer hip and abdominal strength to hold. It also requires open inner thighs, shoulders and chest to complete the grasp of the top leg.

Once in the pose, push the floor away with your hand and your foot, engage your navel to your spine and spin your chest from bottom to top. Hold and smile!

First master Vasisthasana 1, in which both legs stay stacked before you move on to this more challenging variation.

Enjoy!
